“I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with THE GLORY THAT IS TO BE REVEALED TO US…the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.” (Romans 8:18-19) Isaiah also speaks of this GLORY, “Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God…THE GLORY OF THE LORD WILL BE REVEALED, and all people will see it together. The LORD has spoken!” (Isaiah 40:1, 5)
Just what is this GLORY? “…THE GLORY (doxa: the unspoken manifestation of God) which You gave Me I HAVE GIVEN THEM, that they MAY BE ONE just as WE ARE ONE: I in them, and You in Me; that THEY MAY BE MADE PERFECT IN ONE, and that the world may know that You have sent Me and have LOVED THEM as YOU HAVE LOVED ME.” (John 17:22-23) When David fled from his son who was trying to kill him, he cried out, “O LORD, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” But you, O LORD, are a SHIELD around me; YOU ARE MY GLORY, the one who HOLDS MY HEAD HIGH.” (Psalms 3:1-3) You protect me Lord and bring me up out of sadness and depression because there is NO GLORY IN DEPRESSION!
This is truly the GLORY of God, “Believe me when I say I am IN THE FATHER. Also believe that the Father IS IN ME. Or at least believe what the miracles show about me. “What I’m about to tell you is true. Anyone who has faith in me WILL DO WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING. In fact, he will do EVEN GREATER THINGS. That is because I am going to the Father. “And I will do anything you ask in my name. Then the Son will BRING GLORY TO THE FATHER. You may ask me for anything in my name. I WILL DO IT.” (John 14:11-14)
LET US BRING GLORY TO THE FATHER BY BELIEVING AND DOING WHAT JESUS TELLS US.
