“THIS IS THE DAY that THE LORD HAS MADE; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24) “…we do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is our life? We are a vapor that appears for A LITTLE TIME and then vanishes. We ought to say, “IF THE LORD WILLS, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:14-15)
God, said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” He has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But WE HAVE THIS TREASURE IN JARS OF CLAY, to show that THE SURPASSING (huperbolē: excellence, superiority) POWER BELONGS TO GOD and not to us.” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7) This TREASURE is that we have been enlightened to the knowledge of an INTIMATE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ who has given us POWER OVER ALL THE POWER of the devil and to know that TODAY the Lord is with us to accomplish what He desires of us, because that is His will!!!
Also importantly, “…as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are CHILDREN OF GOD. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—HEIRS OF GOD and JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST…” (Romans 8:14-17) So, as God’s heirs and as co-heirs with Jesus Christ we want to OBEY HIM when He says, ”…WHEN YOU FAST (nothing “iffy” about this) anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret WILL REWARD YOU OPENLY.” (Matthew 6:17-18) Our Abba Father rewards us by answering our prayers while fasting…
