WE MUST REMAIN IN CHRIST’S LOVE…

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us CLEANSE OURSELVES from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.(2 Corinthians 7:1) To have God’s promises in Christ is to have them decisively. How should we as believers respond to profoundly sound promises from the God who does not lie? We must make sure we stay with Christ both physically and spiritually. When all the closest group of Christ’s followers turned and forsook Him there one who held to the promises of God, “…there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a GOOD AND UPRIGHT MAN, who had not consented to their decision and actionand he himself was waiting for the kingdom of God. He asked Pilate for Jesus’ body. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock.(Luke 23:50-53)

How do we perfect holiness in our lives? REMAIN (menō: to continually to be present) IN ME, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and MY WORDS REMAIN IN YOU, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.(John 15:4-7) How can I remain in Christ? “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. NOW REMAIN IN MY LOVE (agapē: a deep and profound sacrificial love that continues on regardless of circumstance).” (John 15:9)

YOU, BELOVED, BUILDING YOURSELVES UP ON YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH, PRAYING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE LOVE OF GOD, LOOKING FOR THE MERCY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST UNTO ETERNAL LIFE. (Jude 1:20-21)
