“…don’t THROW AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE (parrhēsia: frankness, without concealment). It will bring you RICH REWARDS. You need to be FAITHFUL. Then you will DO WHAT GOD WANTS. You will receive what He has promised. In just a very little while, “The one who is coming will come. He will not wait. The one who is in the right WILL LIVE BY FAITH. If he PULLS BACK (hupostellō: to be timid, to cover, to shrink), I will not be pleased with him.” (Hebrews 10:35-38) Have you ever gotten so exhausted from waiting for God’s promise to come to pass that you were tempted to say, “FORGET IT! I’VE WAITED LONG ENOUGH! I’m not going to sit here and wait any longer, I’M GOING TO PULL BACK. I’ve given enough of my life to this, and I’m tired of it. I’m going TO TOSS THE WHOLE THING AWAY and move on with my life!”
Jesus encouraged His disciples saying, “I am coming soon. HOLD ON to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” (Revelation 3:11) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us NEW BIRTH INTO A LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can NEVER PERISH, SPOIL OR FADE. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are SHIELDED BY GOD’S POWER until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5)
So, my dear fellow saints, “…there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars…Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, LOOK UP and LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:25-28)
