“GOD, has in these last days spoken to us BY HIS SON, whom He has appointed heir of all things, BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS; who being the brightness of His glory and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself PURGED OUR SINS, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…” (Hebrews 1:1-3)
JUST WHAT HAS GOD DONE?
- HE HAS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON: “In the past, God spoke to our people THROUGH THE PROPHETS...” (Hebrews 1:1) His usual way was to call a prophet and then inspire the prophet to speak and to write to the people WHAT GOD WANTED SAID. Jesus is, “…the BRIGHTNESS (apaugasma: supremely reflecting the radiant glory of the Godhead) of Gods glory and the EXPRESS IMAGE (charaktēr: exact reproduction) of His person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS by the WORD OF HIS POWER…” (Hebrews 1:3)
- HE CREATED ALL THINGS BY HIS SON: Who is Jesus, “In the beginning was the WORD…the WORD was made flesh…” (John 1:1, 14) “God said, “LET THERE BE LIGHT.” And there was light.” (Genesis 1:3) When God spoke, out of His mouth came THE WORD OF GOD, who is Jesus Christ.
- JESUS IS EXPRESS IMAGE OF GOD: Jesus said, “I and My Father are one.” (John 10:30) In the textus receptus where the King James bible came from, it says, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7) This scripture was found in the original writings of the apostles but changed by “more educated men” later on and LEFT OUT of newer translations. Jesus said, “…assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle WILL BY NO MEANS PASS from the law till all is fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18) (“jot or tittle” the smallest letter or stroke.)
