CHOOSE VERY WISELY…

If we trust in our own ability to figure out which direction to go in this life, we’ll have a problem, why? The heart (lêb:  inner man) is DECEITFUL (‛âqôb: dishonest, fraudulent) above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? The LORD says, “I look deep down inside human hearts. I see what is in people’s minds. I reward a man in keeping with his conduct. I bless him based on what he has done.” (Jeremiah 17:9-10)

The Lord knows what’s inside of us, so He instructs us to, Trust in the LORD with ALL YOUR HEART. DO NOT depend on your own understanding. In ALL YOUR WAYS acknowledge (yaw-dah’: to know absolutely, intimately) Him. Then He will make your paths SMOOTH AND STRAIGHT. (Proverbs 3:5-6) We live in a day where knowledge is super-abounding. To learn something all I need do is go to the Internet. This fantastic tool – accessible even to people in many third world countries – is an open door to the world’s knowledge. There is a great difference between wisdom and knowledge. Knowledge is raw facts. Wisdom is the ability to assemble the facts in a way that is productive and helpful. But GODLY WISDOM is the ability for us to hear from God about WHERE TO GO, WHAT TO DO and HOW TO DO IT!

When are these things known about us individually? Lord God, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. YOU WERE THERE while I was being formed in utter seclusion! YOU SAW ME before I was born, and you scheduled EACH DAY OF MY LIFE before I began to breathe. EVERY DAY was RECORDED in your book!” (Psalms 139:13-16) Does this mean that we have NO SAY in the matter of our lives? if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, CHOOSE FOR YOURSELVES TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVEas for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:15)
