“Be anxious (merimnaō: to be troubled with cares) for nothing, but in everything by PRAYER and SUPPLICATION (deēsis: beseeching or pleading), with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and THE PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses (huperechō: rises above) all understanding, will GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
LOOK AT THESE WONDERFUL PROMISES FROM GOD:
- DON’T BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING: “Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart And DO NOT lean on your own understanding. In ALL YOUR WAYS acknowledge Him, And He will MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) If ALL of our heart is trusting God then there is NONE of our heart left to worry! By the way Our FATHER is Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Omniscient.
- DO PRAY: Jesus taught us to, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who ASKS RECEIVES, and the one who SEEKS FINDS, and to the one who KNOCKS IT WILL BE OPENED.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
- DO SUPLICATION: In a supplication, the requester asks God for something from a place of HUMILITY and DESPERATION.
- DO THANKSGIVING: Jesus entered a village and saw 10 lepers there, He healed them but only one came back to give thanks, Jesus said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they? And He said to him, “Stand up and go; YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WELL.” (Luke 17:17-19)
- LET GOD KNOW WHAT YOU NEED: “let your requests be MADE KNOWN to God…” (Philippians 4:6)
- HIS PEACE WILL GUARD YOU: “Peace I leave you, My peace I GIVE YOU; not as the world gives, do I GIVE TO YOU (peace). Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.” (John 14:27)
