“…we must pay MORE CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THE WORD OF GOD we have heard. Then WE WILL NOT DRIFT (pararrhueō: truth slips away from us) AWAY FROM IT. Even the message God spoke through angels HAD TO BE OBEYED. Every time they didn’t obey, they were punished. Then HOW WILL WE ESCAPE IF WE DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO GOD’S GREAT SALVATION? The Lord first announced that salvation. Those who heard Hm gave us the message about it. God gave witness to it through SIGNS AND WONDERS. He gave witness through DIFFERENT KINDS OF MIRACLES. He also gave witness through the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. He gave them out as it pleased Him.” (Hebrews 2:1-4)

SO, LETS LOOK AT A FEW WAYS OF HOW WE HAVE DRIFTED AWAY?
- IN 1962, THE U.S. SUPREME COURT BANNED SCHOOL-SPONSORED PRAYER IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Since that time there has been MAJOR CHAOS in our schools! Jesus was about to select the 12 apostles so, WHAT DID HE DO? “Now it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and HE SPENT THE WHOLE NIGHT IN PRAYER with God.” (Luke 6:12) Prayer was essential to Christ’s ministry and He taught us, “…WHEN (not “if”) YOU PRAY, go into your room, shut your door, pray to your Father who in the secret; and your Father who sees in secret WILL REWARD YOU OPENLY.” (Matthew 6:6) Jesus taught us that certain challenges could not be OVER COME without prayer and fasting. (Mark 9:29)
- IN 1969, NO-FAULT DIVORCE BECAME LEGAL: After a long search I found that there were 5,907,240.00 people divorced from 1970-2012. “Some Pharisees came…They asked Jesus, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them MALE AND FEMALE,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become ONE FLESH‘? So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER, LET NO ONE SEPARATE.” (Matthew 19:3-6)
- IN 1970, NEW YORK STATE LEGALIZED ABORTION: Over 63 million babies have been murdered in the United States of America. ALL OF THESE “CHILDREN are a GIFT FROM THE LORD. They are a REWARD (śâkâr: a prize, honor) FROM HIM.” (Psalms 127:3) “Thank you for MAKING ME so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. YOU (Lord) WERE THERE while I was BEING FORMED in utter seclusion! You saw me before I was born and scheduled EACH DAY OF MY LIFE before I began to breathe. EVERY DAY was recorded in your book!” (Psalms 139:14-16)
I am in no way trying to be negative about all of this, but we need to know what is happening to us and what is about to happen! Jesus said “…the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.” (Matthew 25:1) 5 were wise, had oil for their lamps, 5 were foolish, no oil. The bride groom came and, “the foolish said, ‘Give us some of your oil, the wise answered, ‘No, lest there should NOT BE ENOUGH for us and you; go and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with Him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But He answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I DO NOT KNOW YOU.’” (Matthew 25:8-12) WE MUST BE READY…
WHEN JESUS COMES FOR HIS CHURCH 1\2 OF THEM WILL NOT BE SAVED…
