Nehemiah is praying to God about the people of Israel, “You came down upon Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them good laws and true commandments…and you commanded them, through Moses your servant, to obey them all. “You gave them bread from heaven when they were hungry and water from the rock when they were thirsty. You commanded them to go in and conquer the land you had sworn to give them; but our ancestors were A PROUD AND STUBBORN LOT, and they REFUSED TO LISTEN to your commandments.” (Nehemiah 9:13-16)
He goes on to say, “They refused to obey and didn’t pay any attention to the miracles you did for them; instead, they rebelled and appointed a leader to take them back into slavery in Egypt! But you are a God of FORGIVENESS, always ready to PARDON, GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL, SLOW to become angry, and FULL of love and mercy; YOU DIDN’T ABANDON THEM, even though they made a calf idol and proclaimed, ‘This is our God! He brought us out of Egypt!’ They sinned in so many ways…You sent your good Spirit TO INSTRUCT THEM, and you did not stop giving them bread from heaven or water for their thirst.” (Nehemiah 9:17-18, 20)
Today “truth” is being questioned even though Jesus said, “I am the truth…”, is there still absolute truth, YES, Sexual identity is being questioned, am I a boy or a girl make your choice, “So God created man in His own image; MALE and FEMALE He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)! Sex outside of marriage is under question. If something feels good, do it. “Flee sexual immorality…do you not know that your body is A TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT within you, whom you have from God, and that YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN?” (1 Corinthians 6:18-19) If you’re not happy in marriage get out of it. “…a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become ONE FLESH‘? So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, LET NO ONE SEPARATE.” (Matthew 19:5-6)
GET IT RIGHT BEFORE JESUS COMES TO “CATCH US UP”
