“If then you were raised with Christ, SEEK THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE ABOVE, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. SET YOUR MIND on things above, not on things on the earth. For YOU DIED, and your life is HIDDEN with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:1-3)
When we give our lives to Christ, He transforms us, we become a “NEW CREATION” our old person “dies,” we are born anew. Our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life. We have a new “daddy” He is our Abba (daddy) Father we are taught, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and JOINT HEIRS with Christ…” (Romans 8:16-17)
Unfortunately, the devil “pulls” many “back down” to where they were, it’s just hard to believe that we have been DIVINELY changed BUT we are NOT THE SAME, Jesus said the devil “…has nothing to do with the truth, because there is NO TRUTH in him.” (John 8:44)
“…if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; old things have passed away; behold, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW. (because) Now ALL THINGS ARE OF GOD, who has reconciled (katallassōus: exchanging our old self into a new self) to Himself through Jesus Christ…” (2 Corin. 5:17-18)
