LIVING IN GOD’S PRESENCE…

Coram Deo is a Latin phrase found in the Vulgate Bible; it means in the presence of God.” David was very aware of this fact, let’s see what he wrote about his experience IN GOD’S PRESENCE.

For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I CAN WALK IN YOUR PRESENCE, O God, in your life-giving light.(Psa. 56:13) Are we aware of God’s presence in our daily life? The reality is that God is always with us. But we don’t always recognize Him in our everyday lives. We see Him when we read the Bible or go to church, but we overlook His presence in the SMALL DETAILS of our days. IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE AWARENESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE IN OUR DAILY LIVES? Yes, we need to pray that God will show us that because HE IS PRESENT WITH US ALL DAY LONG, all we have to do is WALK IN HIS PRESENCE

The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I WALK IN THE LORD’S PRESENCE AS I live here on earth! (Psa. 116:6-9) But am I always with him? To be sure, since God is with me, then I am with him. But I am wondering not so much about this reality as I am about MY AWARENESS OF IT. Am I living each moment with a sense of God’s presence in my life?  The essence of this verse is that David is living with a sense of God’s presence THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE ON EARTH.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants. Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will WALK IN THE LIGHT OF YOUR PRESENCE, LORD. (Psa. 89:14-15)
