JESUS IS ALWAYS IN CHARGE…

“These are the commands (commandments mitsvâh: a statement from God, of what to do that must be obeyed), decrees (chôq: prescribed task), and regulations (mishpâṭ: the act of deciding a case) that THE LORD YOUR GOD COMMANDED ME TO TEACH YOU. You MUST obey them…you MUST love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you MUST COMMIT YOURSELVES WHOLEHEARTEDLY to these commands that I am giving you today. REPEAT THEM again and again to your children. TALK ABOUT THEM when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. WRITE THEM on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deut. 6:1, 5-9)

Moses tells us that THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is the one who is doing the commanding. He is giving VERY SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS of what He is commanding us to do and telling us that we MUST DAILY OBEY THEM!

  • LOVE GOD WITH ALL OUR HEART, SOUL AND STRENGTH: We must be completely committed to God.
  • COMMIT OURSELVES WHOLEHEARTEDLY (lêbâb: a habitual attraction to doing what’s right) TO HIS COMMANDS: We must be resolved and determined to do what’s right and teach this way to our children.
    1. Repeat them again and again to our children.
    2. Talk about them, at home, on the road, going to and getting up from bed.
  • WRITE THEM ON OUR DOORPOSTS AND GATES: So the Word of God is always before us.

When this “Word” came into my spirit several years ago I started writing daily devotions for my children and grandchildren. Today, because of health issues, about the only ministry I can do is the Christian “Blogs” I write each day. I have written over 9,000 so far and my prayer is that when I go to be with the Lord it will be as I’m doing this ministry. Each day as I come down to my office I ask the Lord to reveal to me what is needed today and the Lord is so gracious to GIVE ME INSPIRATION. Always something new and refreshing for me first, then my prayer is that the Lord will BREATH OUT His LIVING and POWERFUL Word on each one reading it. Bless you…
