This is a promise from God, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my UNFAILING LOVE for you will not be SHAKEN (mûsh: never depart) nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has COMPASSION (râcham: to deeply love) on you…All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for YOU SHALL NOT FEAR; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.” (Isa. 54:10, 13-14)
God explains what He expects us to do, “Incline your ear, and COME TO ME. HEAR, and YOUR SOUL SHALL LIVE; And I will make an EVERLASTING COVENANT with you—nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the LORD YOUR GOD, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” SEEK the LORD while He may be found, CALL upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked FORSAKE HIS WAY, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him RETURN TO THE LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” (Isa. 55:3-7)
“…as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return without having watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to sow and bread to eat, so MY WORD WILL BE THAT GOES OUT from My mouth. It will not return to Me in vain, but WILL ACCOMPLISH what I intend, and WILL SUCCEED in what I sent it for. “Yes, YOU WILL GO OUT with JOY and be led forth with PEACE.” (Isa. 55:10-12) Why will God’s Word succeed? Because it is the “WORD OF GOD, BREATHED OUT, FULL OF LIFE AND POWER!!! (2 Tim, 3:16 Heb. 4:12)
