OUR RESPONSIBILITY…

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but we and our children ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOREVER for all that HE HAS REVEALED to us, so that WE MAY OBEY ALL THE WORDS of these instructions. (Deut. 29:29)

WE ARE TO:

  • OBEY ALL THE WORD OF GOD: the Holy Scriptures, are able to MAKE YOU WISE for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ALL SCRIPTURE is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15-17) “But don’t just listen to God’s word. YOU MUST DO WHAT IT SAYS. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. (James 1:22)
  • LOVE THE LORD WITH OUR ALL: “…an expert in religious law, tried to trap Jesus with this question: “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with ALL your heart, ALL your soul, and ALL your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.(Matt. 22:35-38)
  • LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR: A second is EQUALLY important: ‘Love your neighbor AS YOURSELF.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. (Matt. 22:39-40)
  • LOVE OUR ENEMY: “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and HATE your enemy. But I SAY, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES! PRAY for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as TRUE CHILDREN OF YOUR FATHER in heaven. For He gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.(Matt. 5:43-45)
  • NOT SKIP CHURCH: Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us NOT NEGLECT OUR MEETING TOGETHER, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that THE DAY OF HIS RETURN IS DRAWING NEAR.(Heb. 10:24-25) Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! LET US COME INTO HIS PRESENCE WITH THANKSGIVING; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!(Psa. 95:1-2) “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.” (Psa. 122:1) One day spent in your house, this beautiful place of worship, beats thousands spent on Greek island beaches. I’d rather scrub floors in the house of my God than be honored as a guest in the palace of sin. (Psa. 84:10 MSG)
