Jesus said to His disciples, “I saw SATAN FALL like lightning from heaven…” (Luke 10:18) Look at this description of Lucifer or as we know him Satan, “You were in Eden, the garden of God; “You were the anointed cherub who covers; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, TILL INIQUITY (sin) WAS FOUND IN YOU.” (Ezekiel 28:13-15) What sin was Satan guilty of? “How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, O Lucifer, son of the morning! You SAID IN YOUR HEART,
- I will ascend to the heavens…
- I will raise my throne above the stars of God…
- I will also sit on the mount of the congregation…
- I will ascend above the tops of the clouds…
- I will MAKE MYSELF LIKE THE MOST HIGH GOD… (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Jesus, knowing all this, said to His disciples, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY, and NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN.” (Luke 10:18-20)
Check out this promise from the Lord. “The person who RESIDES (yâshab: remain, stay, sit down, in peace) …in the shadow of the Most High God will be KEPT SAFE by the Mighty One. I will say about the LORD, “He is my place of safety. He is like a fort to me. He is my God. I TRUST IN HIM. He will certainly save you from hidden traps and from DEADLY SICKNESS.” (Psa. 91:1-3)
This ability to reside in God’s shadow implies being in a place of PERFECT PEACE, “You Lord, will keep in PERFECT PEACE all who TRUST in you, all whose thoughts are FIXED on you!” (Isa. 26:3)
