Lord, “Through You we will PUSH DOWN our enemies; Through Your name we will TRAMPLE those who rise up against us…IN GOD WE BOAST (hâlal: to expresses extravagant jubilation and celebration) ALL DAY LONG, And praise Your name forever.” (Psa. 44:5, 8) It’s like what King David did, “David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet. Now as the ark of the LORD came into the City of David…King David (expresses extravagant jubilation) LEAPING AND DANCING BEFORE THE LORD…” (2 Sam. 6:15-16)
The Apostle Paul said it like this, “GOD FORBID THAT I SHOULD BOAST EXCEPT IN THE CROSS of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Gal. 6:14) He clarified what he meant even better here, “…the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength…God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong—so that NO ONE MAY BOAST BEFORE HIM. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts BOAST IN THE LORD.” (1 Cor. 1:25-31)
WE HAVE TO SOMEHOW MAKE IT OUR PRACTICE TO EXPRESSES EXTRAVAGANT JUBILATION IN THE LORD…
