We are to, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, TENDERHEARTED (eusplagchnos: the Hebrews say the seat of tenderer affections, esp. kindness, benevolence and compassion), FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER, just as God through Christ HAS FORGIVEN YOU.” (Eph. 4:31-32)
Remember how Jesus taught us to pray, “FORGIVE US our debts, AS WE FORGIVE our debtors.” (Matt. 6:12) Is this really important? “…if you DO NOT FORGIVE others, then your Father WILL NOT FORGIVE your transgressions.” (Matt. 6:15)
“…when the Son of Man comes…All the nations will be gathered and He will separate them…the sheep on His right, the goats on the left…the King will say to the sheep, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you…I was hungry, thirsty, a stranger, sick, naked and in prison and you gave Me just what I needed. ‘when did we see You this way? “The King will answer when you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, YOU DID IT TO ME.’” (Matt. 25:31-40)
He went through the same with the goats and said “when you refused to help THE LEAST OF THESE you were refusing to help Me.’ “And they will go away into ETERNAL PUNISHMENT, but the righteous will go into ETERNAL LIFE.” (Matt. 25:45-46)
WE MUST PUT ON KINDNESS, BENEVOLENCE AND COMPASSION IF WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT…
