“Moses said to the people, “DO NOT BE AFRAID. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14)
600,000 plus their wives and children, men of Israel, had escaped the Egyptian bondage and were on the shores of the Red Sea. The Red Sea is narrow strip of water extending southeastward for about 1,200 miles.
The LORD said to Moses, “lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go ON DRY GROUND through the midst of the sea…” (Exodus 14:15-16) God separated the great host of angry Egyptians from the Israelites by His cloud, “So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall (up to 200’ high) to them on their right hand and on their left. The LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea…And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea…the sea returned to its FULL DEPTH, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. Not so much as one of them remained.” (Exodus 14:22-28) Carefully following the Biblical and historical records of the Exodus brings one to Nuweiba, a large beach in the Gulf of Aqaba, as Ron Wyatt discovered in 1978. Repeated dives in depths ranging from 60 to 200 feet deep, has shown that the chariot parts are scattered across the sea bed. Artifacts found include wheels, chariot bodies as well as human and horse bones.
