“…the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “DID GOD REALLY SAY (Satan constantly presents doubt about God’s Word), ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'” “YOU WILL NOT CERTAINLY DIE (Satan is calling God a liar),” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it YOUR EYES WILL BE OPENED, and YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD, knowing good and evil.” When THE WOMAN SAW that the fruit of the tree was GOOD FOR FOOD and PLEASING TO THE EYE, and also DESIRABLE FOR GAINING WISDOM, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, WHO WAS WITH HER, AND HE ATE IT.” (Genesis 3:1-6)
Jesus said this about Satan, “He was a murderer from the beginning, there is NO TRUTH IN HIM…for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44) As soon as Adam and Eve rebelled against God’s Word, the died a spiritual death, God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE ALSO FROM THE TREE OF LIFE and eat, AND LIVE FOREVER (in a spiritually dead state).” So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden…” (Genesis 3:22-23) The traditional Jewish historical view is that Adam and Eve were 33 years old, when they ate the forbidden fruit. The Bible does not say but they supposed that since Jesus lived 33 years, to redeem the world from Satan’s ownership “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe…” (2 Corin. 4:4) And to take back ownership, “ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been GIVEN TO ME.” (Matt. 28:18)
So, when did man come back to God? “Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. THEN MEN BEGAN TO CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD.” (Genesis 4:25-26) “Adam lived 130 years, and begot a son and named him Seth…Seth lived 105 years, and begot Enosh.” (Genesis 5:3, 6) Adam was 235 years old when man began to CALL ON THE LORD once again.
It wasn’t long and, “The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The LORD REGRETTED that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled…but thankfully…NOAH FOUND GRACE in the eyes of the LORD.” (Genesis 6:5-8) See more tomorrow…
