What is truth? Truth is that which is CONSTANT and UNCHANGEABLE. Many people today understand “truth” simply as “something declared to be a fact by science.” The problem with this is that SCIENTISTS CAN BE WRONG.
Jesus said to Pilate about TRUTH, “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH. Everyone who is of the truth HEARS MY VOICE.” Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” (John 18:37-38) Jesus said, “I AM the way, THE TRUTH, and the life.” (John 14:6)
Jesus prayed this prayer to the Father about His disciples, “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. YOUR WORD IS TRUTH.” (John 17:16-17) There are 783,137 words, 31,102 verses, 1,189 chapters, 66 Books, 40 writers over a period of 1,500 years, they wrote as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit the ONE AUTHOR of all the Bible.
Jesus tells us this about the one who always lies and opposes the truth, “…the devil…was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is NO TRUTH IN HIM. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for HE IS A LIAR AND THE FATHER OF LIES.” (John 8:44) Then Jesus says, “The thief (the devil) comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY. I have come so they MAY HAVE LIFE (spiritual life). I want them to have it in the FULLEST POSSIBLE WAY.” (John 10:10)
Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and THE TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE…we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but A SON IS A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY FOREVER. So if the Son SETS YOU FREE, you are TRULY FREE.” (John 8:31-36)
The Word of God sets us free from untruth and reveals the ONE AND ONLY TRUTH!
