“WHATEVER YOU DO in word or deed, DO ALL in the name of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” (Col. 3:17) It does not matter what you do, where you do it, when you do it, who you do it for or why you do it! What’s important, is that you are doing IT ALL in the NAME OF JESUS. When we do this we’re saying “Hey, I’m not living for myself. EVERYTHING I DO, I DO FOR JESUS.”
It’s like what Paul says in his letter to the church at Philippi, “I have learned in whatever state I am, TO BE CONTENT: I know how to be abased (humiliated), and I know how to abound. EVERYWHERE and IN ALL THINGS I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:11-13)
Just think, Mary was visited by an angel of the Lord and told that she would give birth to Jesus, she said, “HOW CAN THIS BE, since I am a virgin?” The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. “And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month. “For NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.” (Luke 1:34-37)
It all begins in our Christian lives with a willingness to believe and do, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who BELIEVES in Me, the works that I do HE WILL DO ALSO; and GREATER WORKS than these HE WILL DO, because I go to My Father.” (John 14:12)
