One very important way we honor God is when we TOTALLY ABANDON OURSELVES TO HIM (not my will but your will). We do this because we understand Our Abba Father is OMNIPOTENCE, OMNISCIENCE AND OMNIPRESENCE. God possess ALL POWER, God possess ALL KNOWLEDGE and God is PRESENT EVERYWHERE. See how Abraham abandoned himself to God. “God tested Abraham, and said, “Take your son Isaac, whom you love, and go to Moriah, and OFFER HIM THERE. So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men, and ISAAC HIS SON; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went. Then on the third day Abraham saw the place afar off (Mt. Moriah where Jesus was crucified). And Abraham said, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go and worship, and WE WILL COME BACK to you.” So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went. Isaac said, “My father! Look, the fire and the wood, but WHERE IS THE LAMB for a burnt offering?” And Abraham said, “My son, GOD WILL PROVIDE the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.” (Gen. 22:1-8)
Abraham was told by God that the world would be BLESSED BY ISAAC so he knew that if he slayed his son, God would just RAISE HIM UP. So, as Abraham, abandoned to God, was about to plunge the knife into Isaac an angel said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, from Me.” Then Abraham looked, and there was a ram caught in a thicket. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering INSTEAD OF HIS SON.” (Gen. 22:12-13) This was the place where God had HIS SON placed on the cross and Jesus TOTALLY ABANDONED HIMSELF to be crucified for all mankind.
