“A person may think their own ways are right, but THE LORD WEIGHS THE HEART.” (Pro. 21:2) We may be likely to judge ourselves too favorably, our choices in life and the way we take to live our lives; we may think too favorably of our own selves, as if there was nothing inappropriate in it: Every way of a man, is right in his own eyes. The proud heart is very ingenious in putting a rational face upon an unwholesome matter, and in making it appear right! The Lord weighs or measurers our heart, He sees our motives! “To DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND JUST is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.” (Pro. 21:3)
Many people deceive themselves with the arrogance that, if they give a good offering or make some “religious” sacrifice, that will excuse them from doing righteousness! “All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but MOTIVES ARE WEIGHED BY THE LORD.” (Pro. 16:2) The Lord knows the intentions of our hearts and what kind of motivation we need to do what is right! “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and HE WILL ESTABLISH YOUR PLANS.” (Pro. 16:3) TODAY: Let us make it our goal to trust in the Lord and do all that is pleasing to Him!
OUR ABBA FATHER WILL FILL US WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL…
