“…Jesus said to His disciples, “GO into all the world and PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature.” (Mark 16:15) “…YOU SHALL RECEIVE POWER…and YOU SHALL BE WITNESSES to Me…to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) We are commanded by Jesus Christ our Lord to tell somebody about Him! Are there consequences if we fail to do this? What will cause the Lord to not hear our prayers?
“When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I WILL NOT HEAR. YOUR HANDS ARE FULL OF BLOOD. “Wash yourselves…Cease to do evil, Learn to do good…Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” (Isa. 1:15-18) Why in the world would our hands be full of blood??? “When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and YOU GIVE HIM NO WARNING…that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but HIS BLOOD I WILL REQUIRE AT YOUR HAND.” (Eze. l 3:18) Jesus promises us that we will receive power when we are filled with the Holy Spirit – to be witnesses, He said “you SHALL BE my witnesses…” This is not a suggestion “shall be” is like a command!
“…NECESSITY IS LAID UPON ME; YES, WOE IS ME IF I DO NOT PREACH THE GOSPEL!”(1 Corin. 9:16)
