“The righteous man walks in his integrity (tōm: completeness, innocence); His children are blessed after him.” (Pro. 20:7) This proverb makes me think of the expression – “If you’re gonna talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk.” “who can find a faithful man? The righteous man walks in his integrity.” When we are doing something right or righteous, we don’t need to tell everyone about it. It will be OBVIOUS in our actions. Down just a little further it says, “Even a child is known BY HIS DEEDS, Whether what he does is pure and right.” (Pro. 20:11)
What we do can have an effect on our lives for a long time BENITA. Research has found a strong correlation between kindness and happiness. Those who engage in random acts of kindness are happier. Research indicated increased levels of activity in the part of the brain responsible for compassion. “…be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” (Eph. 4:32)
Also, we can, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be PUT INTO YOUR LAP. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38) Jesus said it like this, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends IF YOU DO WHAT I COMMAND.” (John 15:13-14)
