“…the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left WILL BE CAUGHT UP (harpazō: to catch away) TOGETHER with them in the clouds to MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR. And so we will BE WITH THE LORD FOREVER (We’ll escape the destruction to come). Therefore ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER with these words.” (1 Thess. 4:16-18) We need to encourage one another AMANDA because there are things we will not have to go through.
Then Paus tells us, “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We (believers) will not all sleep, but we will ALL BE CHANGED— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and WE WILL BE CHANGED.” (1 Corin. 15:51-52) Why are we being taken out of the way? “…for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people (the unbelievers left behind) are saying, “Peace and safety,” DESTRUCTION WILL COME ON THEM SUDDENLY, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and THEY (the ungodly) WILL NOT ESCAPE.” (1 Thess. 5:2-3)
In the 24th chapter of Matthew Jesus is teaching about the end of all things and says, “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see ALL THESE THINGS, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, THIS GENERATION WILL CERTAINLY NOT PASS AWAY UNTIL ALL THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.” (Matt. 24:32-34) Israel has always been God’s nation because of His promise to Abraham, so Jesus is talking here about when Israel who was twice kicked out of their country comes back on May 14th 1948 on the day in which the British Mandate over a Palestine expired, the Jewish People’s Council gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum, and approved the following proclamation, declaring the establishment of the State of Israel. The new state was recognized that night by the United States and three days later by the USSR. The generation now living in Israel WILL NOT PASS AWAY until all prophecy of the end times has been fulfilled!!!
