“My sheep HEAR (akouō: to be endowed with the ability to hear) MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27) This is not a limited time statement, it simply means that Jesus WILL speak to us and we WILL hear him! There is good news—God is speaking to us ALL THE TIME. In fact, It’s God’s nature to speak. He wants to have fellowship with us, and He wants us to hear Him—ALL THE TIME.
Jesus, “…the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep HEAR HIS VOICE; and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. And when He brings out His own sheep, He goes before them; and the sheep follow Him, for they KNOW HIS VOICE.” (John 10:3-4)
There are many who believe that in our day God has somehow lost the ability to speak BENITA! “…as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are SONS of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the SPIRIT OF ADOPTION by whom WE CRY OUT, “ABBA, FATHER.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…” (Rom. 8:14-17) Why do we cry out Abba Father? Because we know He will answer us! You see, “God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, ACCORDING TO OUR LIKENESS“…So God created man IN HIS OWN IMAGE; in the image of God He created them…” (Gen. 1:26-27) God created us with the ability to communicate with Him! We are His children so it would be quite natural for there to be communication between A FATHER AND HIS CHILD. God says, “Call to Me, and I WILL ANSWER YOU, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jer. 33:3)
