WE ARE IN VERY GOOD HANDS, WILL…

“…the Lord is FAITHFUL, who will ESTABLISH you and PROTECT you from the evil one.(2 Thess. 3:3)

WILL, WHAT WE SEE HERE IS THAT THE LORD:

  • IS FAITHFUL: pistos: one who always can be relied on. We know that God is faithful but what about us? As a Christian, it is important to be faithful to God. It is one thing to simply believe in Him, but another to be FAITHFUL TO HIM. When we are truly faithful to God, this shapes the way we live. For example, we are able to be loyal in our relationships while we are here on Earth and we truly love others. Remember the new commandment, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so YOU MUST love one another. (John 13:34) We can grow in our faithfulness by having a personal relationship with Christ. If we are truly faithful to Him and obey His commands, this will be evident in our lives. “…the LORD loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones.” (Psa. 37:28)
  • WILL ESTABLISH YOU: stērizō: to make one constant and stable. “…my beloved brethren, be steadfast, IMMOVABLE, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corin. 15:58) And also, Let us HOLD FAST the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but EXHORTING ONE ANOTHER, and so much the more as you see the Day (the Day of the Lord) (Heb. 10:23-25)
  • AND PROTECT YOU: phulassō: to guard one from being lost. The LORD will PROTECT you from all evil; He will keep your soul.(Psa. 121:7) The angel of the LORD encamps (sets up camp) all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.(Psa. 34:7) What can just one angel do? “…it came to pass on a certain night that THE ANGEL of the LORD went out, and KILLED in the camp of the Assyrians ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTYFIVE THOUSAND; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.(2 Kings 19:35)

WE ARE IN EXTREMELY GOOD HANDS WHEN WE TRUST IN THE LORD
