“The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORDD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, Yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth…” (Psa. 29:3-9) “Anyone with ears to hear should LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND.” (Mark 4:9)
What is the Lord’s plan for our life? How will we know JUSTIN? These are very important questions we should ask ourselves because only God knows what He expects of us, so, how do you find out? One important lesson the bible teaches us is about PRAYER and FASTING, talking to God and DEDICATING OURSELVES TO HIM with our “flesh” out of His way! You see, that is what fasting is all about, it is not a sacrifice, it is an OFFERING of ourselves to God so we may HEAR from Him!!! The Lord spoke to Isaiah, saying “Is not this the fast THAT I CHOOSE: to loose…to undo…to break every yoke?” (Isaiah 58:6) If we become too comfortable in the “flesh”, OUR SPIRITUAL HEARING BECOMES DULL! Only THE LORD can tell us what HIS WILL is for our life, so we must BE ABLE TO HEAR HIM! The Lord goes on to tell us, “you shall call, and THE LORD WILL ANSWER; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘HERE I AM.’ …then shall YOUR LIGHT RISE…And the LORD will GUIDE YOU continually…and you shall be like a WATERED GARDEN, like a spring of water, whose waters DO NOT FAIL.” (Isaiah 58:9-11) This “watered garden whose waters DO NOT FAIL” is speaking of the ANOINTING OF THE LORD ALWAYS being present, which is obviously so important when we are called to handle the Word of God!!! The Lord makes a more awesome promise:
“…you shall take DELIGHT (chêphets: to bring extreme satisfaction and great pleasure) in the LORD, and I will make you RIDE ON THE HEIGHTS OF THE EARTH…for THE MOUTH OF THE LORD HAS SPOKEN.” (Isaiah 58:14)
