“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” (Psa. 105:4) God’s strength is limitless. When our knees become weak from pressure and our hands tremble with fear, He strengthens and steadies our way. It’s in those lowest moments where His strength shines the brightest. “…those who WAIT on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isa. 40:31)
Instead of trying to understand God BENITA, we need to learn how to WAIT on Him? Let’s Look at the levels of depth we have with the Lord.
- Wait: yachal; to be patient, to trust. “If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I WAIT, (yachal) till my change come.” (Job 14:14) This is very good and needed, but NOT the word used to “renew our strength”
- Wait: tsaba’; to serve, to perform, to wait upon. “This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to WAIT (tsaba’) upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:” (Numb. 8:24) This also is good and needed, but NOT the word used to “renew our strength”
- Wait: qavah; to bind together by twisting, entwine, This word is used to describe making a rope. This IS the word used to “renew our strength” To become “entwined” is a term of intimacy – to really know Him, to TALK to Him to LISTEN to Him, to OBEY Him!
“The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are FULLY COMMITTED to Him.” (2 Chron. 16:9)
