HUMILITY IS EXPECTED AND HONORED…

“When you are invited to a wedding feast, do not sit in the best place, lest one more honorable be invited; and he who invited you and him say, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you with shame take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of others. For whoever exalts himself WILL BE HUMBLED, and HE WHO HUMBLES HIMSELF WILL BE EXALTED.” (Luke 14:8-11) When we humble ourselves before God and acknowledge Him! I get asked, “Who do we  pray to? Jesus taught us to pray, OUR FATHER in heaven, HALLOWED (hagiazō: to be eternaly purified) Your name. (Matt. 6:9) It is very pleasing to God the Father for us to honor Him.

“…God, you shall direct my paths (make my paths clear). (Prov. 3:5-6) because, “…God is not the author of confusion…” (1 Corin. 14:33) (I refuse to live a life of chaos and confusion because of my pride and selfishness FOR…) “God gives more grace. Therefore He says, God resists (allows disorder and chaos to) the proud, but HE GIVES GRACE (the desire and power to do his will) TO THE HUMBLE.(Jam. 4:6)

WE MUST SEEK TO PLEASE GOD WITH OUR LIVES, FEAR HIM AND OBEY HIS WORD…
