GRACE PRESENTED AND REJECTED…

“Jesus took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was transformed, and his clothes became dazzling white. Suddenly, two men, Moses (The Law) and Elijah (The Prophets), appeared and began talking with Jesus.(Luke 9:28-30)

Why the Law? God, first, offered Israel grace and said to Moses, tell the people, “…if you will OBEY me and KEEP my covenant, you will be MY OWN SPECIAL TREASURE from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to meAnd they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen. But DON’T LET GOD SPEAK DIRECTLY TO US, or WE WILL DIE!” (Exo. 20:5, 19) Why did they feel this way? “…the LORD’S anger rose against Israel, for they DID NOT BELIEVE GOD OR TRUST HIM to care for them.(Psa. 78:21-22) So, God gave them over to the Law!

So you see, “…before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to BRING US TO CHRIST, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster (Law).(Gal. 3:23-25) “…God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT OF GOD, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Eph. 2:4-5, 8-9)

DO NOT REJECT GODS MARVELOUS GRACE, IT’S HIS GIFT TO US
