“Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing, and at the end He was hungry. The devil said, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on EVERY WORD that comes from the mouth of God.'” (Matt. 4:1-4) Why do you suppose Jesus said this AMY? Because, “ALL SCRIPTURE (every word) is 1GOD–BREATHED and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17) 1theopneustos: It is from two Greek words, theos: God, and pneustos: to breathe. Most translations say theopneustos means, “given by inspiration of God” that’s good but what it means is much more important, when we pick up our source (a bible, cell phone) of the Word of God and begin to read, the words are “BREATHED” into us by Almighty God. These words are “…LIVING and POWERFUL, and sharper than any two-edged sword, PIERCING even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a DISCERNER (discoverer) of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12)
This all happens because these are NOT JUST PRINTED WORDS on a page AMY, the Word of God is a LIVING PERSON. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the WORD WAS GOD (God the Son)…the Word BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1, 14) Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)
THE WORD REVEALS TO US THE WAY, THE WORD IS TRUTH AND THE WORD GIVES US LIFE!!!!
