“Clap your hands; shout to God with cries of joy. For the LORD Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the LORD amid the sounding of trumpets. SING PRAISES to God, SING PRAISES; SING PRAISES to our King, SING PRAISES. For GOD IS THE KING of all the earth; sing to Him a psalm of praise. God reigns…God is seated on His holy throne.” (Psa. 47:1-9) This Psalm praises God for His power Amanda, His majesty and His wisdom. It also acknowledges both His control of things on earth as well as His concern, love and care for his people.
As God’s people today Amanda, we should find comfort in knowing that God is in our lives on a daily basis. He knows our every trial, our cares, heartaches and pains, as well as our triumphs, joys, successes and the love we share with others. Being in Jesus Christ affords us so much more than just our spiritual relationship with Him. The wonderful relationship with God because we are one with God in Christ, we are one with each other. We have the friendship and the joy of the family of God who share with us in our lives.
Heavenly Father, fill us with your love so that it can be said of us as it is of you, that we are love. Help us love others, even those who don’t love us. Give us a heart of compassion and forgiveness instead of being selfish and judgmental. Use us to encourage others in serving you. I pray in the name of Jesus.
