The first human beings allowed their minds to stray, their desires to bend. They fell, and as they fell… “…although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God…and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man…Therefore God also GAVE THEM UP TO UNCLEANNESS…” (Rom. 1:20-25)
“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart WAS ONLY EVIL CONTINUALLY.” (Gen. 6:5) “…the LORD hates, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are SWIFT IN RUNNING TO EVIL…” (Pro. 6:16-18) So, my dear brothers and sisters, what is the solution for all this mess man has made? “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but BE 1TRANSFORMED by THE RENEWING (going up to a new level) OF YOUR MIND, that you may prove what is that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT will of God.” (Rom. 12:1-2) 1metamorphoō: to change the external form, to be transfigured. The word “metamorphosis” comes from this.
