God spoke to His people WILL, ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and BROUGHT YOU TO MYSELF. Now if you obey me fully and KEEP MY COVENANT, then out of all nations you will be my TREASURED POSSESSION. Although the whole earth is mine…” (Exo. 19:4-5) The meaning of the Hebrew phrase peculiar treasure is “special jewel.” We are very special to God when we CHOOSE TO LIVE FOR HIM, and that is the best choice we could ever make.
The Lord, who loves covenants WILL says, “This is the COVENANT I will make with the people of Israel. I will put MY LAW IN THEIR MINDS and write it ON THEIR HEARTS. I will be their God, and they will be my people…they will all KNOW ME, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins NO MORE.” (Jer. 31:33-34)
“Follow God’s example…(in His covenant with Israel) For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the HEAD OF THE CHURCH, His body (the Body of Christ) …Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to PRESENT HER TO HIMSELF as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but HOLY AND BLAMELESS.” (Eph. 5:1, 23-27) Like the Jewish wedding WILL. We enter into a COVENANT with the Lord, He goes to prepare a place for us, then returns to take us to Himself (the catching away, rapture) that where He is, we will be WITH HIM always!!!
