“…The spirit that GOD CAUSED TO LIVE IN US wants us to BELONG ONLY TO GOD. Don’t you think Scripture has a reason for saying that?” (James 4:5) “The LORD your God is among you. He is a JEALOUS GOD. If you worship other gods, His anger will burn against you.” (Deut. 6:15)
Why does God feel this way WILL? Because in the creation God knelt down, took the dust in His hands and FORMED man, then He breathed the breath of life into man. This was a very intimate and personal action. What about each one of us today? “For You FORMED MY INWARD PARTS; you KNIT ME together in my mother’s womb.” (Psa. 139:13) Each one of us was intimately and personal attended to by God. WE ARE HIS!!! We belong to Him.
“…do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit WHO IS IN YOU, whom you have from God, and YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN? For you were BOUGHT at a price (the blood of Jesus); therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, WHICH ARE GOD’S.” (1 Corin. 6:19-20)
“When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me.” (Psa. 27:8-10)
“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face always!” (Psa. 105:4)
The Lord desires to be our constant companion WILL, in every experience of life. He wants us to know Him through and through. If we draw close to Him, God will draw close to us: “Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” (Jam. 4:8, NLT).
