It’s very important for us to know where the Word of God came from, “I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is NOT OF HUMAN ORIGIN…I received it BY REVELATION FROM JESUS CHRIST.” (Gal. 1:11-12) The Word of God is of divine origin. “…when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, THE WORD OF GOD…” (1 Thess. 2:13)
More evidence of the divine source of the Word, ”…the word of God is LIVING and POWERFUL, and SHARPER than any two-edged sword, PIERCING even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and It EXPOSES our innermost thoughts and desires. (Heb. 4:12) Not just written words but living words, powerful words, sharp words, piercing words and exposing words. And most importantly. “All Scripture is GOD–BREATHED and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be 1THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17) 1exartizō: to perfectly equip.
When the creation took place, everything was spoken into existence except for man, the Lord knelt down and with His hands, “…formed man of the dust of the ground, and BREATHED into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Gen. 2:7)
IN THE SAME WAY, GOD BREATHES HIS WORD INTO US AS WE READ IT!!!
