It’s all in how we see and understand things!
If we do not trust in God, we might say, “…though I STAY IN the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear EVERYTHING; For You are FAR OFF; Your rod and Your staff, WHERE ARE THEY?” (Psa. 23:4) “I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to LEAD YOU ASTRAY.” (1 John 2:26) If we see things this way we have been led astray and we need to, “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Mark 13:5) You see, when we think negatively its because, “…false teachers among you, who have secretly brought in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.” (2 Pet. 2:1)
What do we need to do to get victory, so we can see things properly? “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Prov. 3:5-6) This is how we should see this promise, “…though I WALK THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear NO EVIL; For You are WITH ME; Your rod and Your staff, they COMFORT ME.” (Psa. 23:4)
