Good communication is two-way AMY, involving speaking and listening. Too often, we do all the talking without waiting to hear WHAT GOD MIGHT SAY in response. God wants to speak to us. As we have seen throughout human history, he uses a multitude of ways to speak to us. Are we listening?
We are currently in a time of prayer and fasting and God said, “Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness…then your light will break out like the dawn…you will call, and the LORD WILL ANSWER; You will cry, and HE WILL SAY, ‘HERE I AM.‘” (Isaiah 58:6-9) AMY, Jesus said, “My sheep HEAR MY VOICE, and I KNOW (an intimate knowing) them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
Paul tells us about how he forgave someone, “…unless Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corin. 2:10-11) No, we know Satan’s tactics so we must, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, LOOKING for someone to devour. STAND FIRM against him, and BE STRONG in your faith.” (1 Peter 5:8-9)
Paul gives us these instructions AMY, “BE STRONG in the Lord and in His mighty power. PUT ON all of God’s armor so that you will be able to STAND FIRM against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 6:10-12)
