“EVE SAW that the tree was good for food, that it was 1PLEASANT TO THE EYES, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then THE EYES of both of them WERE OPENED, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” (Gen. 3:6-7) 1ta’ăvâh: covetousness (in a bad sense). Eve then Adam disobeyed God, sinned and broke His Commandment. “…the LORD God COMMANDED THE MAN, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil YOU SHALL NOT EAT.” (Gen. 2:16-17) We know the consequences of sin, “…the wages of sin is death…” (Rom. 6:23) Eternal separation from God, from enlightenment, holiness and righteousness. The best way I know to describe this is, working as a design engineering, an alcoholic then for clearer thinking purposes, a drug addict. (Look that’s how you think when your in darkness). I just designed and patented a “Word Processing Apparatus” and was on my way to really becoming “SOMETHING!”
The Lord miraculously saved me and instantly delivered from drugs, alcohol and other lusts of the flesh and really OPENED MY EYES! I had just turned 29 years old and noticed how MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL things looked to me!!! So, as Adam and Eves eyes we opened to darkness, my eyes were opened to the beauty of the Lord!
“One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I may behold THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD…” (Psa. 27:4)
