We’re all searching for something in life Amanda. Whether we want to call it significance, purpose, meaning or something else, there is an natural desire in each of us for OUR LIFE TO SOMEHOW MATTER — to have significance and purpose. Jesus said to the woman at the well, “If you knew THE GIFT of God, you would have asked Him, and He would have given (it to) you…” (John 4:10)
The Lord has a gifting for each of us Amanda, He knows what is best for us! “Now concerning spiritual gifts, I do not want you to be ignorant:” (1 Corin. 12:1) These spiritual gifts are “Gracious spiritual blessings, leading to miraculous results… these all come by the remarkable influence of the HOLY SPIRIT.” Jesus said, “…when the Spirit of truth, has come, He will GUIDE YOU into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will GLORIFY ME, for He will take of what is Mine and DECLARE IT TO YOU.” (John 16:13-14) So Amanda, the Holy Spirit will reveal to us what we are to do!
“A spiritual gift is given to EACH OF US so we can help each other.” (1 Corin. 12:7)
This is what we must know, “Now YOU ARE the body of Christ, and members 1individually.” (1 Corin. 12:27) 1meros: a chosen part. “…you are a CHOSEN generation, His own special people…” (1 Peter 2:9)
