“Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For THE DAY OF THE LORD (Christ’s Resurrection) is coming, For it is at hand…And it shall come to pass afterward That I will POUR OUT MY SPIRIT on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will POUR OUT My Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:1, 28-29) Joel wrote this prophecy about 600 years before the actual event took place.
On the Day of Pentecost, “…they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and there appeared to them tongues, of fire, and sat upon each of them. And they were all FILLED with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with OTHER TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4) Peter refers to the prophecy of Joel in (Acts 16-21).
My inspiration for presenting this is what God said, “For I am God, and THERE IS NO OTHER; I am God, and there is NONE LIKE ME, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I WILL DO ALL MY PLEASURE…” (Isaiah 46:9-10) “…at the name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that EVERY tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, to the GLORY of God the Father.” (Phil. 2:10-11)
