This is a good proclamation for a prayer intercessor to start their day!
“Now, Lord…enable [me] to speak your word with great boldness. STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND TO HEAL and PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:29-30) Follow the above proclamation with this one! “I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. [Lord let] my message and my preaching not [be] with wise and persuasive words, but with a DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPIRIT’S POWER, so that [the hearer’s] faith might not rest on human wisdom, but ON GOD’S POWER.” (1 Corin. 2:3-5) An intercessor must meet FACE–TO–FACE WITH GOD to effectively plead for those who desperately need God’s intervention. How must we prepare ourselves to meet face-to-face with God? Do we need to have clean hands and a pure heart? “Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has CLEAN HANDS AND A PURE HEART…” (Psa. 24:3-4)
When we meet face-to-face we will see the need to: “Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.” (Psa. 2:11) Why? Because our WHOLE DUTY: “…Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.” (Eccl. 12:13) When Solomon was conversing with God about what he (Solomon) needed most to be effective in leading his people to God, God said: “And you, Solomon my son, KNOW THE GOD OF YOUR FATHER and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind…” (1 Chron. 28:9) KNOW: yâda’: TO FULLY KNOW INTIMATLY.
