“I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a GREAT TREASURE…” (Psalms 119:162) “The directions the LORD gives are true. All of them are COMPLETELY RIGHT. They are more priceless than gold. They have greater value than HUGE AMOUNTS OF PURE GOLD.” (Psa. 19:10) David was a very rich king AMY, yet he made it clear that he thought was the MOST IMPORTANT TREASURE IN HIS LIFE, THE WORD OF GOD. “The teachings that come from your mouth are worth more to me than thousands in gold or silver.” (Psa. 119:72)
Why is the Word of God so very valuable? “All Scripture is GOD–BREATHED and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be 1THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17) 1exartizō: to fully equip. What caused Adam come to life AMY, what caused the “dry bones” in Ezekiel 37 come to life? It was the BREATH OF GOD! Our human minds cannot really understand how this actually works but when we read the Word of God, GOD BREATHES the Word into us and it COMES TO LIFE IN US! Which in turn makes us alive in the WORD!!!
