“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into A 1LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can NEVER PERISH, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are SHIELDED BY GOD’S POWER until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5) 1zaō: to have true life, endless in the kingdom of God. This “living hope” was purchased for us by Christ’s crucifixion and His resurrection from the dead. This “living hope” can never perish spoil or fade away. In these days of so much uncertainty, how secure is this “living hope”?
The scriptures reveal to us that it is “kept in heaven” and “SHIELDED BY GOD’S POWER” So, what must we do? “Let us HOLD FAST the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to STIR UP love and good works, NOT FORSAKING the assembling of ourselves together (with masks or whatever it takes), as is the manner of some, but EXHORTING ONE ANOTHER, and SO MUCH THE MORE as you see the Day approaching.” (Heb. 10:23-25)
