“Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart, And 1LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall DIRECT YOUR PATHS. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. (Prov. 3:5-8) 1shâ’al:  to rely on, to trust in. If we trust in our own understanding, our own ability to reason because of our many hours of studying. We can only accomplish what our limited abilities allow. I say limited because no matter how much time we spend studying, there is always so much more to learn. In 1982, futurist and inventor R. Buckminster Fuller estimated that up until 1900, human knowledge doubles approximately every century, but by 1945 it was doubling every 25 years. And by 1982, it was doubling every 12-13 months. In retrospect, this may sound a little quaint since experts now estimate that by 2020, human knowledge will double every 12 hours. But, how much do we really know???

Our God’s is omniscience (the state of knowing everything about everything), that’s why the very wise Solomon said, Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart…” Think about Daniel whom God blessed with a very wise and understanding heart. When Daniel was being led to the den of Lions to spend the night with some hungry lions you can be sure Daniel was not leaning on his own understanding. The other jealous leaders of the Medes and Persians were trying to trap Daniel, they could find no fault with him so,  they concluded, “Our only chance of finding a way of accusing Daniel will be in connection with his relationship with his God.” (Dan. 6:5) So, they tricked King Darius into signing a decree that no one could pray to any god but him. Of course, they found Daniel praying to the Lord God. The king was deeply troubled, and tried to think of a way to save Daniel but could not. So at last the king gave orders for Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to him, “May your God, whom you serve so faithfully, rescue you.” (Dan. 6:16)  So, as we know God kept Daniel safe and, The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had TRUSTED IN HIS GOD.” With all his heart… (Dan. 6:23) “The LORD will keep you from EVERY kind of harm. He will watch over your life.” (Psalms 121:7)

THE KING HAD THE ACCUSERS THROWN TO THE HUNGRY LIONS.
