One thing Amanda, that we can count on in this day and age is living with chaos. Chaos refers to a state of confusion in one’s life, the experience of random or unpredictable occurrences, and a lack of order to our daily life, space and belongings, common occurrences in this day we’re living in. So, what is our remedy? “God 1RESISTS the PROUD but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.” (1 Peter 5:5-6) 1antitassomai: to oppose, to range in battle against. This come from two Greek words anti: against, and tassomai: organization and order. The result is disorder and chaos, if we’re too proud to seek GOD’S HELP!!!
Why would God do this? For one thing, God can do anything He chooses to do, HE IS GOD!!! But since, “…GOD IS FOR US, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31)
Just a few examples of who GOD IS: Personal, Creator, Life Giver, Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Omniscience, Sovereign, Immutable, Perfect, Holy, Grace, Mercy, Love, Truth, Good, Patience and very personal. “You (God) made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me SO WONDERFULLY COMPLEX! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me BEFORE I WAS BORN. Every day OF MY LIFE was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!” (Psalms 139:13-17)
Some people Amanda, believe that our whole life is predestined but that is not so Joshua said, “…choose FOR YOURSELVES this day whom you will serve, But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Josh. 24:15)
