Jesus is the guarantor of a better and more perfect covenant. “…for the law made nothing perfect…there is the bringing in of a BETTER HOPE (Jesus Christ), through which we draw near to God.” (Heb. 7:19) We need to make it a DAILY HABIT to draw near to God through Christ in repentance, confession, thanksgiving, and praise.
- P – Praise and Thanksgiving: “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. PRAISE THE LORD!” (Psa. 150:6) “Enter into His gates with THANKSGIVING, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” (Psa. 100:4)
- R – Repentance: “If we CONFESS OUR SINS, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
- A – Asking for Others: “Confess your 2FAULTS one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16) 2paraptōma: a stumbling aside, a false step. A fault is a mistake we make not necessarily a sin, He died on the cross for that purpose, we did not. How do I know that because ONLY GOD can forgive our sins. The powerful passionate prayer of one who is righteous causes power to be released.
- Y – Yourself: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. TELL GOD WHAT YOU NEED, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7)
