RESPECTING THE WORD OF GOD…

Respect means “to regard with honor; to have a high opinion of; to place a great value upon; to reverence; to submit to the judgment and authority of the God’s Word.” Why should we  respect God’s Word? Because, All Scripture is BREATHED OUT BY GOD and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE 1COMPLETE, equipped for every good work.(2 Tim. 3:16-17) 1artios: properly prepared, ready now. “…for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were 2MOVED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.(2 Peter 1:21) 2pherō̄: bring forward the word.

The Word of God came from God Who breathed upon holy men of God and these men, in turn penned the Word of God. The Word of God is also “inerrant” which means, it is free from error or untruthEvery word of God IS PURE; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. (Prov. 30:5) God shields and protects us from UNTRUTH. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is 3PROVEN…” (Psa. 18:30) 3tsâraph: to be refined like gold.

And very importantly, “…the word of God is ALIVE and POWERFUL. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword…” (Heb. 4:12)
